Resolved Question: Combined Linear Algebra/Calculus problem; I'm stumped!?
I'm really stumped by this linear algebra problem that also incorporates calculus. I asked a math major friend of mine for help but we could not figure out how to solve it. Here is the question:
Find a cubic function of the form p(t) = a t^3 + bt^2 + ct + d that has a local maximum value of 11 at t= -2, and a local minimum value of -21 at t= 2. Find the values of a, b, c, and d.
Hint: You will need to find the derivative of p to find the required system of linear equations.
So I found p', p'', and p'''. Then I plugged in the local minima and maxima along with values of t into p' to get the following augmented matrix for a, b, and c:
12 -4 1 | 11
12 4 1 | -21
then simplified that to
12 -4 1 | 11
0 8 0 | -32
So I was able to find b=-4, but when I tried to find a or c by substituting the variables would cancel out. How do I progress from here? It seems like I need a 3rd equation but I don't know how to get it. Any help is highly appreciated!
Resolved Question: I'm stumped - where to find Mai Valentine in yu-gi-oh of the Sacred cards?
I need to find her and battle her for the locator cards. Does anyone know where to find her?
I battled a guy and he was looking for information on Yugi. I defeated him and he said some kind of "building" is where Mai is at and I don't know what building he is talking about. Can someone please help?
Resolved Question: Mittens has stopped taking questions from his audiences and now only gives 15 minute stump speeches in public?
really, isn't it better that way? He has not taken a question from the audience in 3 weeks.
1) Yup no more "I like firing people" and "I don't care about the poor"
2) Yup, I really want to hear what's wrong with Obama again and again
3) Yup, it is embarrassing for him when they ask "Details"
4) Yup, I can beat the homeward traffic if he cuts it short
5) Yup, I'm pretty sure that he has all the solutions to all the problems in 15 minutes or less
6) Nope, that makes me think that he is afraid of questions and has no real answers beyond, "Tax cuts for the 1%" and " Iran needs an invasion" and " Vote for me, atleast I'm not him"
.

Resolved Question: Could somebody help me on this math problem, fairly simple but I'm stumped?
50% of Suzie's math class is made up of homework assignments. The other 50% is made up of tests. If Suzie gets 100% on every homework assignment for the entire year, but scores 40%'s on every test for the entire year, will Suzie still make a B (80% or higher) for the overall year? If not, what is the lowest score Suzie could get on every test to ensure that she makes a B for the overall year?
If you could show your work, that would be awesome!
Thank you SO much in advance!!!

P. aeruginosa 10 was not isolated from the detergent, glutaraldehyde, or tap water. What was the source of the infections?
a) bacterial cell walls in the water
b) contaminated disinfectant
c) a biofilm in the reprocessor
d) fecal contamination of the bile ducts
2)In addition to carbon, microorganisms need other elements to synthesize cellular material. For example, protein synthesis requires considerable amounts of ____ and some _____
