ABC7 has obtained exclusive video of San Francisco police beating down a suspect in an apartment building hallway. Police say the video only tells part of the story. San Francisco police have seen the amateur video and they say it was a case of attempted "suicide by cop," but the public defender's office sees it very differently. In cellphone video obtained by ABC7, two San Francisco police officers can be seen trying to subdue a suspect in the hallway of a Perry Street apartment building when two more officers arrive as backup. "Based on the video, it looks like the officers are using way too much force," San Francisco Public Defender Jeff Adachi said. "You can hear the punches. At that point, he's clearly on the ground, appears to be subdued, doesn't appear to present a risk to anybody, so I think this raises huge questions." But according to police, the Tuesday night arrest came minutes after the 49-year-old suspect had violently attacked a female neighbor and the apartment manager. And when the first officers arrived, the man shouted, "I have a gun and I'm going to use it,' while holding his hand behind his back. According the police report, prior to the video one officer did pull his gun on the suspect, but didn't fire. The officers also pepper sprayed the man but it had no effect. This is question came to mind when watching 2/03/2012 Blue Bloods episode. Tom Selleck's character said his was a civilian post. I'm big fan of show so I DO KNOW he was an officer before. I'm just trying to understand. They don't want to double pay him or what?

They go after normal people who commit petty crimes or small time criminals who work for bigger gangs, but never seem to get the top dogs who are responsible for much of the crime in the city. It just makes me sad. My neighbour's windows got broken three times in a month and they only caught the guy on the third go because he was walking around the local area like nothing happened. All he had to do was pay for repairs - no prison for possibly endangering someone by throwing a brick into a room. There are so many cases like this. My mother has been mugged twice and both times the criminals got away. The whole British justice system feels like a joke to me. I'm 19 and lost faith in the boys and girls in blue many years ago. Most of the time I just feel powerless when I think about what could happen if I was the victim of a serious crime like an assault or burglary - I just think that dialling 999 is unlikely to get anything done. Does anyone actually trust the police to help them these days? If not, what can we do about it? The riots were a disgrace. Working class people targeting working class people with the media and ruling classes hoping for us to get even more hurt and our local areas even more destroyed. The police could have done a lot but didn't - when it was their own stations getting targeted, they were on it pronto! Thankfully, at least some communities came together against the violence, which was a positive sign that there is at least some decency left in society. WiZ - Oh, they want guns. Ever seen how much they beat up innocent young and elderly people, as well as how they treat the disabled? They have no qualms about hurting citizens!

I am really intrested in forensics but I would like to work over in america when I am older as there are more career opportunities than in australia. Can organisations, such as the FBI offer you a job while you were working in australia? I know that this is one of the only ways to obtain citizenship.
