Nagesh Kuknoor 'Aashayein's' Press meet at Vie Lounge, Mumbai on 29th April 2008 By Kkomal Seth & Gautam Seth Hope and melodious music! It was the first look unveiling of a differential film by Nagesh Kukunoor. One replete with his special touch, but one that had in it, a new positive additon -- music. With Bhushan Kumar of T Series and Shailendra Singh of Percept Picture Company joining hands, the joint venture flick, Aashayein unvelied its first look. With John Abraham looking dashing in the screen, the event saw his parents, director Nagesh Kukunoor, Divya Khosla Kumar, Tulsi Kumar, Shailendra Singh, Ajay Kapoor, actors Farida Jalal, Anahita Nair, Sonal Sehgal and a host of stars descending on Vie Lounge. The event, unlike most Bollywood events began on time. While Nagesh felt that Aashayein was "the ultimate love story", T Series Creative director Divya Khosla Kumar avered that "Aashayein had besides strong production values, a touching script, a sensitive director and would be John's best performance till date." Shailendra Singh felt that "Aashayein would signify a life-changing experience for the audience." All in all, an interesting fare replete with hope.

Life has indeed come full circle for Divya Khosla Kumar. Divya started out modeling in music videos of artists like Falguni Pathak, Abhijeet etc. until her big break came with the Big B – Akshay Kumar – Bobby Deol starrer Ab Tumhare Hawale Watan Saathiyon in the year 2004 However, soon after the release of her maiden flick, she settled into matrimony with Bhushan Kumar who heads T- Series. After staying out of the limelight for a while, she trained herself in cinematography, editing, and direction for 2 years. After Aap Kaa Surroor, Hansika Motwani will be seen in a music video by T-series named Phir Bewafaai, a compilation of three songs directed by Divya Khosla. Phir Bewafaai, the sequel album to T-Series’ Bewafaai, is Divya Khosla’s second album as a director. Divya says, “Phir Bewafaai is out and its first and third videos have been directed by me. The third one is a medley of three songs combined together. It is about relationships, love and heart break. Hansika has acted in it. It’s a duet sung by Agam Kumar Nigam (father of Sonu Nigam) and Tulsi Kumar.” These three songs are going to be out as a medley which features Hansika Motwani; this is her first music video. “We thought of Hansika because we had cast her in Aap Kaa Surroor. She is a good actress and has acted well. The lyrics are very meaningful. I feel that Hansika has done a really good job. She is looking better in my videos than Aap Kaa Surroor,” explains Divya.
