I got a phone call about 10 minutes ago from some lady from Barbizon. She rambled about doing a Back to school fashion show at a local mall and commercials and asked to talk to my mom. my mom set up an audition for sunday, but im not convinced that this is legit. this is my dream, and im extremely serious and focused about this. i dont want to be scammed. is this for real? and if it is, what do i do?

Why do they, in the process of criticizing us, forget to acknoweldge the countless problems of their own people back in Africa? @ the ignorant posters named holistic and vile substance you didn't answer my other question. why do they list all of the problems that we "BLACK AMERICANS" ever have, had, and will have, but never answer for the problems that their own people have. SILLY FART - they bring up hurtful stereotypes about african americans and pretend we are all like this, but then when people bring up equally hurtful stereotypes about them(which i hate to do), they get offended and then don't want to ever talk to them again. what's with the double standard. they are act like we are supposed to be perfect just because we are in america and think that they think they can bash us left and right for no reason. they expect us to answer for every problem in black america (gangs, black-on-black violence, lack of education, ect but when someone wants them to answer for things like the black-on-black WARS going on in Africa, the lazy leaders that many african nations they have, the aids crisis in africa...they can't take it. I think we should just get along, and realize that both of our people have had problems in the past, and still have problems today, and shouldn't pit ourselves against each other over these things becuase we are all still black.
